  • Let us assume that the blood pressure values were supposed to be collected each visit from weeks 1 to 5
  • For some reason, Week 3 and week 5 results were not collected
  • For analysis purposes, we may be asked to use the last available result before a missing result instead of the missing result at that visit
  • We call this as 'Last observation carried forward'.

  • We will see how to populate the missing result on a record with last available result value

DTYPE Derivation Type Set to 'LOCF' on the record where AVAL is imputed.
